The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency apprehended a convicted cocaine trafficker, Dunu Ebubechukwu, while he was posing as an herbal tea businessman. The agency also intercepted a 20,000-litre fuel tanker containing a concealed compartment with over two tonnes of cannabis. Investigations linked Ebubechukwu to past drug smuggling attempts, including a failed ingestion attempt in 2011.
